Jakarta (14/8/2017) - PT Eastspring Investments Indonesia ("Eastspring") and PT Phillip Sekuritas Indonesia ("Phillip Sekuritas") today officially announced a strategic partnership to offer mutual funds to investors through Phillip’s On-line Electronic Mart System (POEMS) platform, one of the most powerful online trading platforms in Asia.

Through POEMS platform, Eastspring will distribute two equity funds, Eastspring Investments Alpha Navigator and Eastspring Investments Value Discovery, as well as one fixed income fund, Eastspring Investments IDR High Grade. Both equity funds aim to provide attractive returns in the long run by investing in listed Indonesian equities and are suitable for investors with aggresive risk profiles. The fixed income fund aims to provide returns in the medium term through investment in Indonesian Government bonds and high quality corporate debt as well as domestic money market instruments, and is suitable for investors with a moderate risk profile.

The three mutual fund products distributed through POEMS demonstrated good performance from the beginning of the year to the end of July 2017. Eastspring Investments Alpha Navigator and Eastspring Investments Value Discovery's Equity Funds each respectively returned 12.89% and 13.86%, higher than the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) which grew 10.27%. Meanwhile, Eastspring Investments of IDR High Grade had a return of 8.45%, in line with its benchmark, IBPA INDOBeX Government Bond Index, which appreciated 9.06%.

Eastspring distributes funds through other online platforms in Asia, including POEMS in Singapore and Hong Kong and through FundSupermart.
